Workshop Engineer required for a family-run business with over 20 years of experience in the plant industry. The company operates a fleet of over 70 Excavators and 70 Dumpers, as well as a variety of other Plant & DIY equipment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing and repairing hydraulics, digger tracks, Excavators up to 8 ton, dumpers up to 6-ton, fork lifts, rollers, tree surgery equipment, small tool garden machinery, mixers, and small water pumps.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service and repair all heavy and small plant machinery
  • Provide diagnostics and have excellent fault-finding skills
  • Ensure the workshop is tidy and adhere to all health and safety rules
  • Wash down machinery when it returns for hire, if the Yardman is unavailable

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar business and position
  • Full Driving Licence
  • Happy to work one weekend day every other week
