Job Title: Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at Serco, working on our Asylum Accommodation and Support Services Contract. This role will involve providing specialist electrical expertise and guidance to the operation, ensuring the delivery of high-quality electrical services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend to electrical works and support non-trade Maintenance Operatives to fix faults
  • Work closely with housing teams to ensure outstanding service to users and complete all relevant electrical works and certification
  • Report faults and defects to electrical plant and equipment, and undertake certification and installation/repairs to emergency systems
  • Carry out PAT testing, inspect, test and investigate the performance of electrical plant and equipment installed in the site, and produce related reports and recommendations as may be required
  • Assist other members of the maintenance team with their activities as may be required, and be a team member of the Facilities 'Out of hours' call out roster
Requirements:
  • A full Driving Licence is required
  • C & G 2365 (17th Edition) qualification is essential
  • City & Guilds 2391 (Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations) qualification is required
  • CRB Clearance and Security Clearance at CTC level (Counter Terrorism Check) is required
