Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating processing and packing equipment, maintaining safety and quality parameters, and monitoring production processes to ensure high-quality products.
Main Responsibilities:
- Operate equipment with precision and accuracy, ensuring adherence to manufacturing recipes, SOPs, and standard work instructions.
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain safety (LOTO) and quality (HACCP/GMP) standards.
- Perform safe equipment start-up and shutdown procedures.
- Monitor production processes, adjusting as necessary to optimize quality and productivity.
- Prepare and maintain accurate production documents, including batch records, quality records, inventory reports, and productivity reports.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of process variables and their impact on finished products.
- Execute Autonomous Maintenance activities, including general cleaning, inspection, and lubrication of equipment to prescribed standards.
- Identify and address equipment abnormalities to prevent future deterioration.
- Maintain equipment performance by understanding equipment structure and functions and resolving issues promptly.
- Troubleshoot basic mechanical and electrical control systems.
- Work collaboratively with the team to utilize problem-solving tools (RCA, 5 Why) to determine root causes, eliminate losses, and improve processes.
Candidate Profile:
- Prior experience in a manufacturing/production role, preferably in food and drinks manufacturing.
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills, with English and Maths O'level/GCSE equivalent.
- Mechanical aptitude and a good understanding of equipment operations.
- Able to understand the relationship between quality values and the company's brand image.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Problem-solving and fault-finding skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Flexible approach to working hours and able to adapt to changing priorities.
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude towards work and colleagues.
