Job Title: SEN Learning Support Assistant

Join GSL Education as a SEN Learning Support Assistant and play a vital role in providing targeted support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). As a member of our dedicated team, you will contribute to the academic and social development of our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with teachers and SENCO to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapt learning materials to suit individual needs and abilities.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with diverse learning needs, promoting a sense of inclusion and belonging.
  • Assist with the implementation of behavior management plans and foster positive relationships with students.
  • Collaborate with the wider school team to create an inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as an SEN Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role is advantageous.
  • Understanding of various SEN conditions and strategies to support individual needs or willingness to learn.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting students with SEN.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to promoting inclusivity and diversity within the school community.
