Job Title: Structures Asset Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Structures Asset Engineer to join our team at Egis Road Operation Uk Ltd. As a key member of our infrastructure maintenance team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing asset management maintenance and renewal strategies for all structure categories.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement asset management maintenance and renewal strategies for bridges, culverts, retaining walls, sign/signal gantries, and masts.
  • Utilize the Asset Management System, including RMMS and Decision Support Tools, to identify structural renewal and maintenance interventions.
  • Support the delivery and undertake bridge inspections as required.
  • Assist with structures condition reporting and scheme identification/option studies.
  • Conduct whole life cost analysis, including lifecycle planning, optimization, and prioritization of renewal schemes.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation and contract service schedules in relation to bridge structures.
  • Liaise with the CPS on-roads team to ensure consistency in maintenance regimes.
  • Attend callouts for emergency incidents involving specified assets.
  • Collate information for effective performance measurement and controls.
Requirements:
  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent.
  • Working towards Professional Qualification, MICE, MIAM, MIStructE, or similar.
  • Knowledge and experience of highway bridge asset management and bridge inspection and maintenance activities.
  • Awareness of RWSC, DMRB, and SHW.
  • Understanding of Asset Management Systems and working within the Strategic Road Network.
  • Experience in Windows server operating systems and proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Current UK driving license.

Base Location: South Mimms, Leatherhead, or Dartford.
