Maintenance Engineer Position

Avara Foods is a leading food business in the UK, supplying chicken and turkey to major supermarkets and restaurants. We are an integrated business controlling the whole product supply chain.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is £34,517 - £38,280 per year, depending on experience. You will also receive a £7,785 shift allowance per year and 31 days of holiday. Additionally, you will be eligible for a 5% pension and life assurance.
Job Description
As a Level 3 Engineer, you will be responsible for developing plant reliability and operational capability by implementing robust maintenance strategies and resolving plant issues and breakdowns. You will work as a member of the Engineering Team to ensure downtime is kept to a minimum.
- Undertake planned preventative maintenance activities with due consideration for safe plant operations and product quality.
- Routinely undertake continuous improvement activities to develop plant capability and equipment reliability.
- Participate in plant improvements, modifications, and capital investment projects.
- Act as a subject matter expert on plant equipment and technologies.
