Senior Accountant Position

This leading independent accountancy firm in Lancaster is seeking a highly skilled Semi Senior Accountant to join their forward-thinking team.
The ideal candidate will be ambitious, career-oriented, and an outstanding communicator with a strong background in general accounts and a desire to study for ACCA or ACA within a supportive accountancy firm.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing statutory and management accounts, year-end financial statements, and assisting with corporate and personal tax planning work, VAT returns, and basic audit duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of financial statements and management accounts.
- Assisting with tax planning and VAT returns.
- Basic audit duties and bookkeeping.
- Liaising with HMRC and supporting clients with cloud-based accounting software.
- Confidently liaising with clients and building trusted relationships.

Requirements:
- AAT qualified with a strong background in general accounts.
