Job Title: Laundry Assistant

Excelcare Holdings is seeking a skilled Laundry Assistant to join our team at our Lime Court Care Home in Dovercourt, Essex. As a Laundry Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in our care home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage laundry procedures and prevent unnecessary build-up
  • Ensure bundles of laundry are identified for staff to load and unload into washers and dryers
  • Maintain laundry equipment and perform daily de-fluffing of dryers, reporting any defects to the Head of Home
  • Distribute clothes to residents' rooms
  • Ensure correct marking of residents' clothes
  • Keep laundry room clean and tidy, maintaining a hygienic condition
  • Perform other reasonable duties as required

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible and enthusiastic
  • Good communication skills
  • Politeness at all times when dealing with residents and colleagues
  • Experience in a similar role and knowledge of health and safety
