Pastoral Support Tutor

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our outstanding Pastoral Support team as a Pastoral Support Tutor. This role involves providing pastoral and academic support to our full-time learners on a 1:1 and group basis, including weekly sessions of the tutorial programme.
Key Responsibilities- Motivate and monitor the progress of individual learners within a caseload, setting challenging SMART targets to support progression.
- Encourage students to engage in personal evaluation, reflection, and target setting, using value-added measures to track progression.
- Utilize College information systems to record, monitor, and track learners within a cohort of tutees.
- Rigorously track and monitor attendance, taking action to improve poor individual performance and providing individual support through the Student Referral Process.
- Identify student needs and facilitate access to appropriate services to support achievement, such as additional support, careers advice, and the enrichment programme.
- Educated to Level 3
- Level 2 English and Maths
- Understanding of study needs and options and progression opportunities for post-16 learners
- Experience supporting students post-16
- Ability to communicate with a diverse range of people at all levels, verbally and in writing
- Mentoring and Coaching skills
- Commitment to continuous improvement
