Job Title: SEN Head of Maths

We are seeking an experienced SEN Head of Maths to join our team at a great SEN School near Deal. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Maths Department and supporting students with significant needs.

• Planning and delivering high-quality Maths lessons to accommodate the varying needs and abilities of students
• Behaviour management and supporting students to excel and reach their full potential
• Classroom management and leading the Maths Department
• Supporting students with verbal and non-verbal communication, including the use of PECS
• Leading the department and supporting other Maths Teachers in planning and direction

• Knowledgeable on multiple SEN Specialisms
• Enthusiastic and experienced in working with SEN/SEND children
• Caring, empathetic, and approachable
• Compassionate and sensitive
• Flexible and able to manage behaviour
• Experienced in running a Maths Department and teaching up to A-Level Maths

We collaborate with local SEN Schools and work with children with a variety of needs, including ASD, SEMH, S&L, and complex medical needs.
