The salary for this role is competitive, with an estimated £20,550 per annum.

You will be working as an apprentice engineer, gaining hands-on experience and developing skills in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop a career in a leading provider of asset management and maintenance solutions across the UK and Ireland.

About the Role:

  • This is a 4-year apprenticeship programme that includes a 3-year apprenticeship qualification: Level 3 Lift Truck and Powered Access Engineering Technician Apprenticeship standard.
  • You will gain on-the-job experience, starting with shadowing your mentor and other Engineers, progressing to performing tasks under supervision, then alongside qualified Engineers where your work will be checked and signed off.
  • Work will be carried out on customer's premises and at Briggs Equipment UK workshop locations within your specified region.

What You'll Need:

  • GCSEs at grade 4 / C or Scottish National 5 Grade C or above in English, Science & Mathematics (or equivalent) - Desirable
  • Enthusiasm for all aspects of engineering, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic - i.e., hobbies related to maintenance/repair, work or voluntary experience, topics studied at school/college.
  • Able to complete apprenticeship qualification tasks independently, managing and prioritising own workload, work to deadlines under pressure.
  • Understanding of the principles of good customer service.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in inclement weather conditions.
  • Comfortable completing both manual labour and administrative tasks.
  • Prior work or voluntary work experience - Desirable.
