Senior Biomedical Scientist Training Officer

As a Senior Biomedical Scientist Training Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the efficient operation of our laboratory and ensuring the timely delivery of a high-quality histopathology service.
The primary working relationships will include collaboration with Senior Biomedical Scientists, histology staff, and the senior leadership team.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure specimens are received, logged, processed, cut, stained, and dispatched in accordance with the highest standards and within agreed turnaround times.
- Participate in daily workload management and assist in maintaining the quality and accuracy of output.
- Serve as the Lead Senior BMS for training within the laboratory.
- Oversee the management of IBMS portfolios.
- Organize and supervise the work of Medical Laboratory Assistants, Medical Technical Officers, and Biomedical Scientists.
- Pursue professional development by attending necessary training courses.
- Operate and maintain histology equipment in accordance with department policies.
- Adhere to Health and Safety regulations and laboratory protocols at all times.
- Participate in specimen dissection.
- Engage in the annual staff appraisal process.
