Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Surveyor
About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer Surveyor to join our team, covering the Slough and Uxbridge areas. This role involves inspecting and maintaining crane and lifting equipment to ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect and maintain various types of crane and lifting equipment, adhering to LOLER and PUWER regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on equipment condition and maintenance activities.
- Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
- Provide expert guidance to clients on equipment operation, maintenance, and safety procedures.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve technical issues and improve overall service delivery.
- HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Marine, or Automotive Engineering; or NVQ Level 3 with significant experience and willingness to pursue a Level 4 qualification.
- Proven experience in maintaining, servicing, and repairing crane and lifting equipment.
- Strong knowledge of LOLER and PUWER regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to influence clients and build strong relationships.
- Ability to work independently, making decisions on equipment condition and future use.
- Willingness to work at heights and in confined spaces.
Basic salary from £40,500 + Company Car Allowance £5,500, plus comprehensive benefits package.
