Job Title: Accounts Payable Assistant
Department: Financial Operations
Location: York House
Reporting to: Payment Operations Manager
Contract Type: 12 Month FTC
About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Assistant to join our Payment Operations team at British Land. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for processing invoices and statements in a timely manner, responding to queries from internal and external stakeholders, and managing a set of suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Matching and inputting of approximately 200 invoices per week
- Monitoring the approval of invoices and ensuring prompt processing
- Dealing with ad-hoc queries from suppliers, colleagues, and external site teams
- Proactively ensuring invoices are paid within 30 days
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving any issues
- Assisting with the weekly BACS cycle and raising CHAPS as needed
- Ensuring outstanding debit/credit balances are regularly cleared from the purchase ledger
About You
- Demonstrable purchase ledger experience
- Ability to solve problems and resolve queries in a timely manner
- Methodical, highly organized, and attentive to detail
- Great written and oral communication skills and a professional manner
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word and Excel
