About Our Public Law & Human Rights Team

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our Public Law and Human Rights Department in Sheffield or Leeds. As a Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting our solicitors in undertaking casework and providing exceptional client care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist solicitors in preparing and conducting cases in the areas of judicial review, social care, healthcare, and medical treatment.
  • Conduct research and gather information to support the preparation of cases.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and detailed case files.
  • Provide exceptional client care and communication, ensuring clients are informed and supported throughout the process.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve the best outcomes for our clients.

About You

We are looking for a well-motivated individual with a genuine interest in working within Public Law & Human Rights. The successful candidate will have:

  • An undergraduate degree or equivalent.
  • Some paralegal or public law work experience, particularly within the above areas.
  • Excellent client care skills and a sensitive, sympathetic understanding of clients' needs.
  • Excellent analytical and organisational skills.
  • IT literacy and attention to detail.
  • The ability to operate independently and as part of a team.
  • A working knowledge of legal aid systems.
