Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Project Development Specialist to join our team. This 2-year project is funded by Lloyds Bank Foundation and focuses on analyzing the impact of local welfare support on claimants and shaping future discretionary welfare provision.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with project partners (Age UK, Citizens Advice York, Peasholme Charity, University of York, York Foodbank, and City of York Council) to collect data, convene bi-monthly meetings, maintain a website, assist with marketing, and lead the creation and dissemination of project outputs.
- A seasoned project officer with current knowledge of key issues facing the voluntary sector in challenging financial circumstances.
- A keen interest in welfare rights, benefits, or the advice sector, as well as awareness of anti-poverty policy and discourse.
- Proven experience in marketing and raising a project's profile, with expertise in managing professional social media accounts and utilizing various content and communication tools.
- Excellent communication skills, enabling the development of professional relationships with all key partners to ensure collaboration across the project and the ability to monitor and evaluate demonstrable outcomes.
The estimated salary for this role is £32,000 - £38,000 per annum, depending on experience.
