Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant - Support Role

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Primary School in Havering. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide one-on-one support to a male student with SEN, assisting with their educational and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to the individual needs of students.
  • Foster a supportive and nurturing learning environment, promoting independence and confidence.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to implement tailored support plans for students with SEN.
  • Consistently maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour, contributing to comprehensive assessments and reports.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant.
  • SEN experience is essential.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and young people, with a patient and empathetic approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to thrive in different educational settings.
