Job Opportunity: Trainee Financial Accountant
Brook Street Recruitment is excited to bring this fantastic opportunity for a Trainee Financial Accountant to join a respected finance team, working closely with the Head of Finance and gaining invaluable hands-on experience. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in accounting principles, who is enthusiastic about furthering their career and aiming to become a Chartered Accountant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Preparing monthly management accounts, handling bank and revenue reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Accounts Management: Managing accounts receivable and payable, processing sales invoices, allocation receipts, supplier reconciliations, and conducting payment runs
- Reconciliation & Payroll: Working with petty cash, company credit cards, and payroll preparation
- Audit & Analysis: Assisting with annual audits and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive insights
- Team Collaboration: Keeping managers and directors informed on progress, and actively participating in internal briefings and de-brief sessions
You will also be supported in fulfilling your training agreement requirements and working towards further ACCA, CIMA, or ACA qualifications.

Qualifications & Skills:
- Professional Exams: At least four to five ACCA, CIMA, or ACA exams passed
- Education: University degree with a 2:1 or higher in any discipline (or equivalent)
- Technical Knowledge: A good understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
