Remediation Engineer Wanted

We are seeking a talented Remediation Engineer to join our team at a successful Medium-sized Multi-Disciplinary Environmental Consultancy. Our client offers a range of services including Geo-Environmental, Geotechnical, Remediation, and Enabling Earthworks design to high-profile clients across various industry sectors.

Responsibilities

  1. Conduct desk studies and preliminary risk assessments.
  2. Undertake field-based work across the UK, focusing on delivering remediation projects in the North West.
  3. Collect site characterisation and validation data, including soil & groundwater sampling, logging of soils to British Standards, and in-situ field testing.
  4. Manage sample collection paperwork and schedule laboratory analysis and on-site testing.
  5. Compile site data for factual reports and interpretive reports, and undertake generic risk assessments.
  6. Collaborate with other sectors/disciplines to ensure project integrity.
  7. Produce project outputs, such as reports and presentations.
  8. Develop effective working relationships with the Project Manager and client, ensuring effective communication of progress and changes.
  9. Stay up-to-date with company services, client business, and industry sector to facilitate personal networking and credibility.
  10. Understand project finances and work within budget.

Requirements

  1. BSc qualified (or higher) in Geology, Environmental Geoscience, Environmental Science, or similar.
  2. Entry-level background in geo-environmental projects, including site work and contractor supervision.
  3. Awareness of potential risks associated with remediation sites, including health & safety, budgetary, and technical considerations.
  4. Full clean UK driving licence, valid passport, and right to work in the UK required.
