Westinghouse Electric Company LLC. is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join their innovative team in Preston, Lancashire, UK.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop EC&I drawings, including Block Cable Diagrams and Single Line Diagrams.
  • Produce cable calculations and lighting calculations in Amtech and Dialux/Relux.
  • Review and ensure high-quality design deliverables compliant with internal and client procedures.
  • Generate technical documents like Basis of Design, Testing Strategies/Schedules, and Method Statements.
  • Oversee design deliverables across project phases, maintaining Design Intent.
  • Produce and check CDM Risk Registers and Technical Files for new products/plant and equipment.
  • Present technical solutions to clients and stakeholders in formal and informal settings.
  • Support project safety case development, including HAZID and HAZOP attendance.
  • Develop estimates, deliverables, and programme logic at bid/tender stage.
  • Manage a team of engineers/designers to deliver engineering scope.
  • Mentor team members to enhance skills and company capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with client/partner organisation counterparts.
  • Assess and produce concessions and technical queries.
  • Prepare and review quality plans for single discipline work packages.

Requirements:

  • At least 5+ years' experience in industry, with 2 years at Engineer level, preferably in the nuclear industry or highly regulated sector.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher preferred.
  • Chartered Member of the IET (preferred).
  • Legally eligible to work in the UK.
  • Detailed knowledge of standards, regulations, codes, and directives.
  • Proven knowledge of EC&I design theories, principles, practices, and techniques.
  • Strong knowledge in Technical File production for new products/plant and equipment.
  • Experience with IET 18th edition (BS7671) design.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office and CAE packages.

  • Professional attitude and ability to produce accurate, grammatically correct, and professionally presented documentation.
