Job Description

This role will involve delivering high-quality research projects in nuclear decommissioning, radioactive waste management, and disposal. You will provide expert advice to clients on geological disposal of radioactive waste and manage projects in accordance with company standards and guidelines.

  • You will be responsible for writing high-quality reports and delivering research projects within tight deadlines.
  • Line management of a small team of consultants will also be a key part of this role.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need a PhD or MSc in quantitative earth sciences, applied mathematics, physics, chemistry, or engineering, or a BSc along with proven experience in radioactive waste management.

You will also need excellent presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills, as well as project and contract management experience.

Nuclear industry experience, particularly in radioactive waste treatment, disposal, options assessment, nuclear safety, and related fields, is essential for this role.

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is £65,000 - £80,000, depending on experience.
