Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a caseload of Employers' Liability (EL) claims from start to finish.
  • Conducting thorough legal research and advising clients.
  • Preparing legal documents, including pleadings and witness statements.
  • Negotiating settlements and representing clients in court when necessary.
  • Working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for clients.
  • Keeping up to date with relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Proven billing track record of handling a litigated caseload.
  • Tenacity and a focus on advancing cases through litigation.
  • Experience managing EL fast-track cases, with familiarity with the portal.
  • Knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules and trends in litigation.
  • Demonstrable experience handling litigated files from inception to trial.
  • Previous experience with Proclaim case management system is advantageous.

Benefits

  • A basic salary up to £55,000, plus a generous monthly commission scheme.
  • A 3/2 hybrid working pattern after probation.
  • 23 days holiday, rising to 26 days, plus public/bank holidays.
