Job Title: IT Asset Manager

Job Summary:

Yorkshire Water is seeking an experienced IT Asset Management professional to join our team. As an IT Asset Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the IT Asset Management strategy, ensuring the effective management of software and hardware assets, and providing standard and ad-hoc reporting of software and hardware inventory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and mature the IT Asset Management strategy
  • Design and maintain Asset Management policies, procedures, and processes
  • Ensure systems of record and management are maintained and up-to-date
  • Provide standard and ad-hoc reporting of software and hardware inventory, equipment inventory, and other ad-hoc reporting of hardware and software estates
  • Monitor and manage software licenses to ensure compliance with license agreements and usage standards
  • Lead an active software harvesting program, recovering and redeploying unused licenses

Requirements:

  • Considerable experience working in a leadership role in IT Asset Management
  • Demonstratable background knowledge within license management and software audit management
  • Good understanding of mega vendors including SAP, Oracle, IBM, and Microsoft licensing terms and conditions
  • Significant experience working across all aspects of the ITAM lifecycle
  • Significant working knowledge of Snow Software AB toolsets and technologies and the configuration and implementation of the same within organizations
  • Significant working knowledge of Service Now as master CMDB & Service Now SAM Pro IT Asset Management
  • Led at least 3 significant external software audits working independently or with SAM advisory partner
  • Experience leading teams and people management
  • Confident with Microsoft 365 applications including M365, Teams, Power

  • Working knowledge of Asset data flows to Service Now CMDB & Service Now SAM Pro for IT Asset Management
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Power BI and can demonstrate use within the ITAM Business Intelligence, Data Insights, and Data Analytics Space
  • Working knowledge of Qualys or alternative Vulnerability Management solutions

Yorkshire Water offers a flexible working model, where our hybrid setup typically requires an average of 3 days in the office per week. This could be slightly more when collaborative efforts, training, or meeting deadlines demand it. For those who prefer to work on-site, our office is open Monday-Friday during working hours.
