Main Duties of the Job
The elected hub at King George Hospital performs planned surgery and has ring-fenced inpatient and critical care beds, ensuring 52 weeks of operation with minimal disruption. The department has two Da Vinci robots and a Mako robot for Orthopaedic surgery. Our Queen's site is a neurosurgical centre, undertaking predominately day-case elective surgery and serving as our hot site for CEPOD and trauma.

Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking anaesthesia in the UK, with a minimum of five years of experience. They will also be expected to meet the essential criteria, including holding a full and specialist registration with the General Medical Council (GMC), or being eligible for registration within six months of interview.

- MB ChB, MBBS or equivalent
- Five years' experience in undertaking anaesthesia in the UK
- Full and specialist registration with the General Medical Council (GMC), or eligible for registration within six months of interview
Applicant Requirements
The successful candidate must have appropriate UK professional registration and meet the essential criteria. The post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020, and a submission for Disclosure to the Disclosure and Barring Service will be required.
