Social Services Professional

Exciting Opportunity
This is a challenging social work role that requires the personal qualities, professional skills, and knowledge necessary to support individuals with complex needs. The successful candidate will have excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills, as well as the ability to engage with internal services and external agencies at all levels.
Experience of applying a trauma informed approach to practice is essential, as is an understanding of the interventions required in supporting people with addiction, housing, and employability issues. Experience in Child and Adult protection is also desirable.
The role involves managing a full range of statutory orders, undertaking court and post-release assessments, case management, and recording and monitoring work using electronic systems. This will include undertaking risk assessments in relation to sexual offending and providing intervention on both a group work and an individual basis.
The successful candidate will be required to have a Degree/Diploma in Social Work (or Social Work equivalent) with SSSC Registration and the ability to demonstrate commitment to continued personal development.
Regulated Work with Children and Protected Adults
This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act. It is an offence to apply if you are barred from working with children and protected adults. In addition, if you have lived or worked in any country outside the UK in the past 10 years, there may be a requirement for an overseas police check.
Registration with SSSC
The successful candidate will be required to be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). If you are not currently registered, you will commence employment as a Social Work Assistant (Grade 7) until full registration is obtained.
Right to Work in the UK
All applicants will be asked to provide proof of their right to work in the UK, and any offer of employment will be conditional upon verifying documentary evidence before employment commences.
