About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sub Agent to join our project team for a major highways project in the region. As a Sub Agent, you will be responsible for managing the construction of a section of works, ensuring that all tasks are successfully planned, programmed, delivered, and handed over with a 'right first time' mentality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create a productive working environment for your team.
  • Conduct temporary works inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Review designs and raise technical queries to the design teams to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
  • Develop a 3-month lookahead for your section of works, aligning with the contract programme.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed site records for all works.
  • Communicate changes and updates to the team and stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely and accurate requisitions for plant and materials.
  • Capture and store quality records correctly.
  • Generate Non-Conformance Records and ensure prompt closure.
  • Set and maintain clear expectations for health and safety and environmental management with your team and suppliers.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working on a similar scheme is essential.
  • Degree-level qualification in a Civil Engineering allied subject or HND in Civil Engineering and vocational training in Engineering.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to diverse audiences.
  • Knowledge and understanding of engineering principles and common construction methodologies.
  • Knowledge and understanding of construction contracts through experience and formal training.
  • Digital competence in MS Office, document control systems, and site digital tools.
  • Formal training in Health & Safety and Environmental management (SMSTS).
  • Relevant CSCS Card.
