Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Excellence Engineer to join our Water Assets department. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing maintenance strategies in your geographic area, driving improvements in asset performance, and developing close working relationships with local operations and maintenance teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Optimise planned maintenance activities to drive cost efficiencies and improve performance.
  • Deliver improvements in data availability by implementing best practices in your area, using this data to provide insights and support operations and maintenance teams.
  • Develop close working relationships with local operations and maintenance teams to understand their challenges and influence their approach.
  • Manage your own professional development and growth to remain a subject matter expert in Lean principles and maintenance excellence.
  • Collaborate with wider Water Assets teams, including distribution, design, and commercial, as well as other water companies working on maintenance and reliability.

Requirements

  • A proven maintenance professional with an understanding of best practices and how maintenance impacts performance.
  • Proven ability to analyse data to generate insight and drive performance.
  • A strong technical background with an understanding of water supply operations, including mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with frontline colleagues and management, presenting data and influencing others.
  • UK driving licence and ability to travel as required.
