Logistics Pricing Coordinator Job Description

LogisticsRecruit UK is seeking a commercially astute Logistics Pricing Coordinator to join its growing office in Birmingham. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our logistics experts to ensure the smooth operation of our airfreight pricing services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and analyze customer quotations from various sources, including email and online portals.
  • Negotiate rates with carriers, hauliers, and suppliers to maximize cost-effectiveness.
  • Prepare and submit customer quotations and proposals within agreed timeframes.
  • Develop and maintain strategic tariffs to ensure effective workload and up-to-date pricing.
  • Monitor carrier websites and notifications to stay informed about market developments.
  • Collaborate with airfreight operational teams to ensure seamless handovers of secured shipments.

Requirements:

  • Industry knowledge of airfreight, including inbound, outbound, and cross-trade operations.
  • Understanding of how to influence profitability through effective pricing.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Dangerous Goods knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong numerical and commercial skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Cargowise (or similar software).
