As an Overhead Line Engineer, you will be responsible for supervising a team of design engineers specializing in Overhead Transmission Lines. This team will work on a variety of projects, encompassing overhead transmission lines ranging from 11kV to 400kV.

  • Developing written proposals outlining project timelines, resource allocation, budgets, objectives, and goals.
  • Providing technical guidance and input throughout project implementation, statutory planning, and participation in Public Consultation events.
  • Leading engineering and design activities related to overhead lines, including PLS-CADD modelling, line routing, structure analysis, and loading trees.
Key Requirements:
  1. A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline, preferably Electrical or Power engineering.
  2. Prior experience in overhead line engineering up to 400kV.
  3. Prior experience on upgrading work projects, such as the utilization of High Temperature Low Sag conductors.
  4. Knowledge of conducting galloping studies, EMF and Field Effects Calculation, Wake effect, and AC Interference for Gas pipelines would be an asset.
  5. The ability to travel as projects dictate.
