At Hearst UK, we're seeking a talented Health Editor to lead our content creation and strategy for the wellness and lifestyle hub. This role will involve crafting compelling copy for both print and digital publications, working closely with key contacts in the health space to secure book extracts and expert conversations.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have deep knowledge of the health world, including the latest studies and research findings, as well as new books being published in the space. They will be responsible for creating engaging and industry-leading health content, working collaboratively with brand editors to ensure tight deadlines are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Crafting copy for both print and digital publications, ensuring it meets brand standards and is delivered on time.
  • Commissioning, editing, and filing content from freelance writers, working closely with the Health and Wellness Director.
  • Developing feature ideas and attending meetings with relevant editors to pitch content and refine thoughts.
  • Monitoring digital health content performance, using data to refine understanding of what works for the audience.
  • Working closely with the Health and Wellness Director to identify key themes in the health and wellness space, attending events and conferences to translate knowledge into content.

About You:

  • Experience working in-house on national titles over both print and digital publications.
  • Deep knowledge of the health world, including an interest in the latest studies and research findings.
  • Keen eye for detail over both print and digital copy.
  • Collaborative approach and understanding of social media trends and key traffic drivers.
