Compass Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Real Estate Insurance Underwriter to join their team in London. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days in the office. The successful candidate will be an experienced underwriter with established relationships with London brokers, responsible for writing a worldwide book of property business.

The salary for this role is estimated at £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, based on individual experience and comparable to that of other team members. Bonuses will also be offered based on 2024 results as an introductory incentive.

In this role, you will be responsible for:
  • Underwriting new business and renewal accounts according to defined underwriting guidelines and strategies
  • Contributing towards achieving the Real Estate financial plan
  • Providing training, mentoring, and acting as a role model for junior underwriters within the team
  • Meeting company standards in respect of policy documentation, contract certainty, peer review, audit, compliance, legal and regulatory requirements

Key skills and qualifications required include:
  • An excellent working knowledge of the Real Estate insurance market
  • Experience and organisational skills as a recognised professional externally
  • Results-driven with ability to make decisions and work independently
  • Desire to continue developing technical and broader business skills
