Bereavement Specialist Job Description

Enable is seeking a Bereavement Specialist to join our team at Putney Vale. The successful candidate will provide support to families and individuals affected by bereavement, ensuring that all services are delivered with empathy, respect, and professionalism.



Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to enquiries from the public, families, and other stakeholders in a compassionate and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with the Cemeteries Manager to ensure smooth operation of the crematorium and cemetery services.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as data entry and record-keeping.
  • Support the bereavement team in providing exceptional customer service to families and individuals.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure best practice in bereavement care.


Requirements

  • Experience working in a bereavement or care-based environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Basic knowledge of computer packages, such as Windows and Microsoft Office.
  • Desirable: qualification in a relevant field, such as funeral directing or bereavement care.
