Commercial Transport Mechanic

We are currently seeking a skilled Commercial Transport Mechanic to join our team at Auto Skills UK. As an experienced mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of heavy vehicles, ensuring they are in top condition for customer transport.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and repairing trucks and trailers to a high standard
  • Carrying out routine maintenance tasks, including servicing and MOT preparation
  • Fault finding and diagnostics to diagnose and rectify any issues
  • Maintaining accurate records and updating databases as required

To be successful in this role, you must have a solid understanding of commercial vehicle maintenance, including hydraulic and electrical systems. In return, you will receive a competitive salary, excellent benefits package, and ongoing training and development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Hold full industry qualifications and have served a recognised apprenticeship
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of truck and trailer maintenance
  • A commercial driving license is advantageous but not essential
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems, maintenance and repair

Financial Package: £44,500 - £48,000 per annum
