We are seeking an experienced Palliative Care Nurse to join our team as an Associate Specialist Palliative Care Nurse. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, working closely with the community nursing team, and providing clinical support and advice to patients, families, and carers.
Main Responsibilities- Deliver evidence-based clinical care to patients with life-threatening illnesses and complex specialist palliative care needs.
- Manage a supervised clinical caseload, supporting patients and their families in their homes and outpatient settings.
- Contribute to audit, education, and research, and participate in the development and evaluation of nursing practice.
- Diploma in nursing and/or study to degree level or equivalent.
- Mentorship or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience in specialist palliative care or oncology.
- Ability to manage situations and environments.
- Knowledge of healthcare policy and reform relevant to specialist palliative care.
- IT literate.
- Ability to communicate in the English language in both written and verbal formats.
- Ability to reflect on own practice.
- Knowledge of advanced care planning.
- Advanced communication skills.

Salary: £35,392 to £42,618 a year pro rata per annum
