### Job Title: Accountant

#### Job Summary

Kane Group is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, monitoring job performance, and providing financial analysis and reporting.

#### Key Responsibilities

* Prepare monthly management accounts, including full reconciliation of all Balance Sheet accounts
* Monitor and report on job performance
* Partner with department managers to provide financial guidance and support
* Conduct departmental reviews, including risk and opportunity reporting and budget reviews
* Develop and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting and analysis
* Administer daily bank administration, including bank reconciliations, weekly and monthly payment processing, and cash flow forecasting
* Manage IR35/VAT/CIS administration, including returns and financial accounting activity
* Process sales invoices, collect cash, and liaise with clients
* Assist with grant submissions, including liaison with external and internal stakeholders
* Develop and recommend financial templates using advanced MS Excel formulae, Power BI, and Jet reporting

#### Person Specification

* Essential qualifications: fully qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, or equivalent) or part-qualified with extensive experience
* Essential experience: relevant experience for a minimum of 2 years in the recent past, strong IT skills, particularly with MS Office
* Desirable experience: experience in the construction sector, payroll processing/review, and systems implementation
* Essential skills: excellent organisational skills, problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, strong work ethic, excellent team player, and ability to undertake continuous review of procedures
