Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Social Work Manager to join our team at Brackenberry Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of social care professionals and overseeing the delivery of high-quality services to children and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of social care professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of excellent services.
  • Service Quality: Oversee the quality of services, ensuring that decisions are made in the best interests of children, young people, and their families.
  • Staff Development: Manage staff in line with agreed social work standards and organisational policies and procedures, providing opportunities for professional development and growth.
  • Collaboration and Partnership: Liaise and build collaborative relationships with multi-agency partners, promoting the organisation and its services, and shaping its future direction.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with service procedures and legal requirements, managing and responding to enquiries and complaints.
  • Representation and Communication: Represent the organisation at committees and communicate effectively with councillors and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Social Work qualification (e.g. Degree in Social Work; Dip SW) and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience: Extensive experience of managing a team within a Social Care environment, dealing with employee performance management issues, and mentoring and coaching others.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Significant experience of dealing with complex cases carrying risk of harm, working with children and families in statutory services, and working with partner agencies.
