Reliability Engineering Lead

Location: Lancashire - Hybrid Working

Salary: £55,000 - £60,000

Note: Due to the nature of the role & the industry, you will be required to achieve UK SC Clearance.

We are seeking a skilled Reliability Engineer to join our team and take responsibility for managing the relationship between engineering capability teams and engineering central function. This role offers opportunities for international travel and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Establish and maintain frameworks, plans, processes, and engineering approaches required on projects to undertake Reliability, Maintainability & Testability (R,M & T) engineering and analysis.
  2. Manage relationships between engineering capability teams and engineering central function to influence current and longer-term skills, processes, and tools needed for R, M & T engineering on next-generation platforms.
  3. Represent the Supportability Engineering team at broader technical reviews, integration activities, and planning events.
  4. Provide technical R, M & T engineering guidance, advice, mentoring, and support to junior or less experienced engineers in the team.
  5. Undertake R, M & T analysis and engineering tasks to influence the design and future sustainment of platforms and systems, ensuring they are inherently supportable in their intended use within operational and environmental constraints.
  6. Ensure alignment between R, M & T engineering, safety engineering, and human factors engineering in R, M & T analysis activities.

Requirements:

  1. Degree qualified in a relevant engineering field or demonstrable professional experience working in relevant engineering roles.
  2. Experience applying R, M & T engineering tools, techniques, and approaches on complex programmes, including Failure Modes, Effects & Criticality Analysis (FMECA), R, M & T Allocation, Prediction & Modelling of complex systems, and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM).
  3. Knowledge and experience applying international and/or military standards and specifications relevant to R, M & T engineering.
  4. Good IT skills, including MS Office and experience working with digital engineering tools.
