About the Role

We are seeking an experienced QHSE Administrator to join our food production client in a dynamic role that requires strong administration skills, knowledge of quality assurance and health and safety principles, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the development and implementation of HSMS and lead ISO 45001 compliance efforts.
  • Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain health and safety policies, SOPs, and training programs to support employee education and compliance.
  • Manage fire safety protocols, including risk assessments and staff training as a fire marshal, to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with site engineers to ensure health and safety equipment is up-to-date and functioning correctly.
  • Maintain accurate health and safety records, oversee accident documentation, and conduct thorough investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor compliance with BRC Global Food Standard and support third-party requirements to ensure the highest level of quality and safety.
  • Participate in weekly management meetings to report on KPIs, analyze safety trends, and contribute to strategic decision-making.
  • Conduct regular site audits to identify areas for improvement and manage the confidential reporting system to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Stay updated on HSE regulations, prepare compliance reports, and assist with legal matters as needed to ensure the company's regulatory obligations are met.
  • Support management with health and safety training program development and provide education to employees to enhance their knowledge and skills.
  • Update and monitor Non-Conformances relating to H&S internally to ensure swift corrective actions are taken.
  • Review accidents reported and provide comprehensive investigation reports to identify root causes and implement preventive measures.
  • Allocate lockers and PPE for new starters and provide PPE for site visitors when required to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with pest control to ensure correct procedures are in place to prevent pest infestations and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
