Clinical Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking three motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Pharmacy Technicians to join our diverse team at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in providing near-patient medicine management services across our wards, ensuring cost-effective and efficient services for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide near-patient medicine management services as part of our ward-based team, ensuring cost-effective and efficient services are maintained throughout our patients' stay.
- Integrate into the ward multidisciplinary team, assisting in medication reconciliation, discharge planning, TTO medicine supply, and patient counselling.
- Assess patients' own drugs, conduct audits, order and dispense medications, and check supplies.
- Participate in extended hours, including weekend working, bank holidays, and late nights on a rotational basis.

Person Specification- Professional Registration with the GPhC.
- Dispensing Accuracy Accreditation (West Midland's scheme or equivalent).
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development.
- Accredited Checking Technician (National Framework) or equivalent.
- Level 3 Diploma in Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians or equivalent.
