Performing Arts Educator

GSL Education - Kent invites applications from qualified and experienced educators for the position of Arts Education Professional. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the growth and development of students in the field of Dance and Performing Arts.
As an Arts Education Professional, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that cater to diverse student needs and abilities. Your primary focus will be on teaching Dance and Performing Arts across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of Key Stage 5 teaching. You will also collaborate with the Performing Arts team to design and deliver a comprehensive curriculum that fosters creativity, self-expression, and technical performance skills.
The ideal candidate will possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, along with proven experience in teaching Dance and Performing Arts. A genuine passion for the subject, excellent subject knowledge, and strong organisational and communication skills are essential attributes for success.
A competitive daily salary ranging from £120 to £250 per day is offered. Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Dance and Performing Arts across KS3 and KS4, with potential for KS5 teaching.
- Inspire students to explore creativity, build self-expression, and develop technical performance skills.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that bring the world of Dance and Performance to life.
- Oversee extracurricular clubs, rehearsals, and performances to showcase students' talents.
- Collaborate with the Performing Arts team to design and deliver a comprehensive curriculum.
- Employ innovative teaching methods to create a dynamic and engaging learning environment.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience in teaching Dance and Performing Arts.
- A deep passion for the Performing Arts, with the ability to inspire creativity and enthusiasm in students.
- Outstanding subject knowledge and a commitment to delivering exceptional teaching.
- Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A valid Enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to apply for one.
