Teaching Assistant Opportunity in Bridlington

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team in Bridlington. As a key member of our educational support team, you will play a vital role in assisting teachers in the classroom, supporting students with their learning and development, and creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, helping them with their academic and personal development.
  • Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation, including setting up equipment and resources.
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN), ensuring their individual needs are met and they have equal access to learning opportunities.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers, promoting a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment, implementing behaviour management strategies when necessary.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • A positive and flexible attitude, with the ability to adapt to different classroom settings and student needs.
  • A genuine passion for education and supporting the learning and development of young people.
  • A DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) is required for this role.
