Job Description:

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a skilled Railway Signalling Design Expert to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing design delivery support throughout the project lifecycle, from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify railway signalling designs specifications and reports
  • Ensure all deliverables comply with company procedures, contractual and statutory requirements
  • Liaise and meet with clients, stakeholders, and external railway contractors
  • Mentor and support junior staff
  • Provide technical liaison with other team disciplines, departments, and externally with the wider AtkinsRéalis organisation

Requirements:

  • Current IRSE Signalling Principles Designer Licence (1.1.550) and Signalling Design Verifier Licence (1.1.160)
  • Substantial mainline signalling design experience, including knowledge of UK railway standards, design processes, and procedures
  • Design verification experience across a range of project phases, systems, and technologies
  • Evidence of a strong commitment to the delivery of signalling designs to the highest standards of safety and quality
