Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Neonatal Nurse to join our team at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust. As a clinical lead, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to neonates and their families, leading shifts, and supporting junior staff.

The successful candidate will have excellent clinical knowledge and skills, with a strong commitment to delivering family-centered care. You will also possess effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate yourself and others.

The role requires experience in a senior nursing position within a neonatal unit, with evidence of clinical competence in neonatal nursing skills. You will be expected to work well independently and as part of a team, supporting pre-registration student nurses and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.

As a key member of our team, you will have opportunities for professional development, including participating in network specialist interest groups and undertaking quality roles in areas of interest.

Our trust operates from three main hospitals, with a range of services, including emergency departments, critical care units, and consultant-led services. We provide a comprehensive range of planned care, including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case, and inpatient surgery.

We are committed to promoting UNICEF Baby Friendly Standards and Family Integrated Care, working towards accreditation in both areas. Our team works closely with maternity and paediatric teams to deliver exceptional care to patients and families.

Benefits of this role include:

  • Excellent salary package (£56,900 - £68,290 per annum)
  • Opportunities for professional development and growth
  • A supportive and collaborative team environment
  • Flexible working arrangements
  • Access to ongoing learning and development opportunities
  • Enhanced pension scheme
  • Annual leave entitlement (30 days + bank holidays)

Please note that we estimate the annual salary for this role to be around £60,000, based on location and job requirements.
