Procurement Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our team at Jonathan Lee Recruitment. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing purchasing strategies and ensuring optimal supplier performance and price management.
Key Responsibilities- Purchasing Strategy Development: Create and implement a purchasing strategy that aligns with the company's objectives, adding value, mitigating supply chain risk, and delivering cost savings.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships, manage contract development, and ensure continuous improvement in the supply base's delivery of goods and services.
- Team Management: Lead a team to deliver support to the business, ensuring the procurement function operates effectively.
- Business Objectives Contribution: Collaborate with the UK and group senior management team to contribute to overall business objectives.
- Procurement Experience: Demonstrable experience in managing supplier contracts and purchasing strategies and processes.
- Collaboration and Negotiation: Ability to work collaboratively, negotiate, and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate delivery and compliance with the purchasing strategy.
- Purchasing Policy Ownership: Take ownership of the purchasing policy, guidelines, and associated documents.
- Manufacturing Background: Procurement experience gained from a manufacturing/engineering environment.
- Qualifications: Ideally MCIPS or high-level CIPS qualification.
