Generator Service Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Generator Service Engineer to support our business during a period of rapid growth at WB Power Services Ltd.

This exciting opportunity involves conducting routine maintenance on diesel generator sets to ensure optimal performance. You will diagnose and address electrical and mechanical faults promptly, executing necessary remedial repairs with precision.

The role encompasses:

  • Conducting routine maintenance on various diesel generator sets
  • Diagnosing and addressing electrical and mechanical faults
  • Troubleshooting faults on control panels
  • Performing Load Banking and mains failure testing on-site
  • Identifying and procuring parts for maintenance tasks
  • Staying updated with relevant training and development
  • Generating detailed reports and submitting them promptly

To succeed in this position, you should have:

  • Time served as a generator engineer or qualified to NVQ level 3
  • Experience in generators (although not essential)
  • Familiarity with electronics & mechanical components
  • Ability to work overtime and on-call when required
  • Willingness to complete risk assessments

We offer:

  • Competitive hourly rates (£25-£35 per hour) based on experience
  • 10% or 15% uplift based on your postcode
