Field Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Field Operations Manager to join our team at Thames Water. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing and developing a team of Sewer Technicians to deliver excellent customer service and operational performance across the northwest catchment within strategic pumping and trunk sewers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be a role model and ensure the team performs in a manner representative of Thames Water's company values and professionalism
  • Performance manage and develop a field operations team
  • Monitor and steer performance against key metrics
  • Promote a culture of engagement and motivation within the team
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess the quality of work being completed by your team
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of your team are always maintained and that safe working practices which comply with company procedures are followed
  • Identify and support the implementation of new initiatives to drive operational efficiency and customer service improvements

Requirements:

  • Excellent people and team management skills
  • Ability to lead, develop, and performance manage field-based operatives
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are vital for this role
  • Be well organized and able to manage your time and multi-task
  • You will be fully competent in the use of Microsoft Office as well as planning and reporting software
  • Previous experience of liaising with internal and external stakeholders is also highly regarded
  • Health and Safety qualifications such as IOSH / NEBOSH are desirable
  • Demonstrating the ability to handle and manage change effectively in a field team
  • A full UK driving licence
