Job Purpose

The Lead UX Designer will lead UX work on high-profile feature developments across all Betfred digital touchpoints, including web, mobile, and retail platforms. This role requires a senior figure within the UX and wider product teams, responsible for shaping effective product design processes and identifying new product development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead product design for high-profile projects, involving discovery work, insight gathering, concept development, and prototyping final high-fidelity outputs.
  • Connect dots across product areas and business units to explore and uncover new or growing product opportunities.
  • Provide creative direction and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of creativity, high performance, and design excellence.
  • Critique and guide team outputs, running effective workshare sessions to optimize outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the BI, analytics, and CRO teams to harness customer insights and drive design decision-making.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and improve the user experience.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to drive design strategy and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or equivalent practical experience).
  • 10+ years' experience in a lead or senior role, with a strong portfolio of high-impact projects.
  • Expertise in UX design software applications (Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud) and UX research tools (Quantum Metrics, UserZoom, Userberry, Lean UX research methods).
