About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Chef to join our team at Chartwells, a leading provider of catering and support services to the education sector. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food that delights our clients and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Menu Development: Oversee and implement menu changes to ensure a diverse and appealing range of options for our clients and customers.
- Food Quality and Safety: Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards, adhering to Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Safety regulations.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate a team of chefs to achieve exceptional results and maintain a positive and productive kitchen environment.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to feedback and suggestions to continuously improve our food services.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage kitchen inventory to ensure that all necessary ingredients and supplies are available.
- Brand Representation: Represent Chartwells and maintain a positive brand image through your work and interactions with clients and customers.
Requirements
- Culinary Qualifications: Hold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent.
- Leadership Experience: Have experience supervising a team and leading in a similar Chef role.
- Food Hygiene Certification: Hold a Food Hygiene certificate.
- Flexibility: Be flexible and adaptable to meet the changing needs of our clients and customers.
