Senior Conservation Architect Job Opportunity

A leading heritage and conservation practice, Hunter Dunning Limited, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Conservation Architect to join their team in London. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, collaborating with a team of specialist professionals and external consultants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the preparation and development of drawn and written documentation for conservation projects.
  • Guide and mentor staff, contributing to the day-to-day running of the practice.
  • Attend client meetings throughout the UK, providing specialist advice on pre-applications and planning applications.
  • Share historical expertise and knowledge within the team, ensuring high-quality project delivery.
  • Lead a team of technical professionals, engaging with stakeholders, contractors, and specialists to achieve project goals.
Requirements:
  • 10 years of experience post-qualification working on UK conservation and historic building projects.
  • Proven ability to lead a team and engage with stakeholders, contractors, and specialists.
  • Demonstrate a good eye for historic design, with a thorough understanding of contractual procedures.
  • Experience in historical report writing and technical knowledge.
  • Experience working on restoration works on listed buildings.
  • CA/SCA RIBA or equivalent qualification desirable.
  • Full or Associate Member of the IHBC desirable.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Photoshop.
  • Strong knowledge of the planning process and conversant with relevant environmental/heritage legislation and guidance.
