Academics Ltd is seeking skilled primary education support specialists to work across primary schools in Uttoxeter and surrounding areas.

The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners by providing encouragement, guidance and support.

This role can be very rewarding as you enhance your skills within the education sector through training and development opportunities.

You will play a major role in helping pupils succeed academically, socially and emotionally by supporting the class teacher in their work.

Key responsibilities include working with different groups of pupils, teachers and curriculum subjects, keeping your role dynamic and engaging.

As an education support specialist, you will witness first-hand the progression and growth of the pupils you support.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • GCSE grade C/4 or above in Maths and English
  • Level 2/3 teaching assistant qualification or similar childcare qualification
  • Some experience of working within a school setting / children
  • Enhanced DBS check (we can provide a DBS if you do not already have one at a cost)
  • Safeguarding Certificate or safeguarding training can be provided
  • Good subject knowledge
  • Patience and empathy towards pupils you are supporting
  • Confidence and a pro-active approach
